Thomsen / Johnson wedding

More than 200 Bird of Paradise were used to creat a very tropical look for the wedding and reception of Melissa Thomsen and Trevor Johnson on July 31.

Ciji Donakowski and Nick Mackini were wed last Saturday, August 14, at St Anthony with a beautiful reception following at Thousand Oaks Golf Club, The banquet room looked fabulous with white linens and white chair coverings. Our centerpieces complimented that clean look with tall towering vases filled with white and green hydrangeas and stems of trailing white orchids.

Pay Pointe Inn

Amanda Coffman and Ben Holbert chose the Bay Pointe inn on Gun Lake for the setting of their July 24 ceremony and reception. The skies looked a bit threatening through the morning, but then cleared off for everyone to enjoy the beauty of this facility. Ceremony facing the lake and a breezy pavilion for dinner and dancing. An outdoor wedding doesn't get much better than this. Amanda chose white pomanders to hang from the arbor and antique blue mason Jars with all white flowers for the centerpieces. A very crisp and clean vintage look. Congratulations Amanda and Ben, you where a pleasure!

Stetson Chapel on the campus of Kalamazoo College and the Henderson Castle made an absolutely beautiful setting for Saturday's wedding between Kathryn Biddison and Scott McVittie. Elegant, Classic, Timeless

Amy's Orchids

This past January, my husband and I took a 2 week trip to Thailand and Laos. One of goals for this trip was to visit Amy's Orchids. Amy's is a major orchid farm, located just south of Bangkok. They ship orchids all over the world to the wholesale flower markets and I request their orchids from Van's Wholesaler, here in Grand Rapids. It was totally amazing, miles and miles of orchid plants, for as far as we could see, every variety and color. I as overwhelmed. The manager took us for a tour of the closest farm as well as the packing plant. It was a very memorable experience.
